4 weeks - Almost there

2 things happened today, neither of which involved David. First off, I sealed the tile floor, which is a bit time consuming, but hopefully worth it. This picture has it, but you can't tell. Second thing was that Westwood Cabinets delivered some stock for toe kick that David will use to re-make the soffit so it looks good. Also included was detail moulding that he will use to make the seams look ok.

Appliances and maybe more painting tomorrow. Also ordered knobs and pulls from Amazon for David to install next week

OK, time to reflect a bit. Its been 4 weeks so far. I'm out about $22k, life has been disrupted, and I have spent a lot of time thinking and doing stuff. Worth it? Probably still. I've learned alot, hopefully will have a list of things I messed up to look for next time, and I will have a better idea of what to expect from contractors. Hopefully what you see here will turn into a functional kitchen by next weekend.

The things left to do total:
  • Painting the walls in the kitchen, DR, and hall
  • Staining and polyurethane the window and door moulding
  • Toe-kick, soffit, and crown moulding
  • Final electrical and plumbing hookups
  • Appliance delivery and hookups
  • Curtains and shades
  • Probably something else
