Day 14 - Floor

So the cabinets are done, and the floor was installed today. The grout will be done tomorrow, and then we can drill holes through it for the appliances. You can see in the close-up how the tile will come up against the wood floor. Its nice that there will be no height difference, hence no tripping. I looked, and the wood and tile will be perfectly consistent. Things like this are a reason to get a contractor.

Tomorrow David may be able to put in the window and finish the siding that was disturbed. The grout will be done, and I guess its up to me to paint this weekend. I will need to clean the surfaces first and then prime and paint.

Early next week the counters will be done, and I have the expectations of being ready to call Jon to do the plumbing for mid/late next week. I will get the appliances delivered for the following Monday, and I think we'll be 95% done at that point. Mike (the electrician) will need to come back and finalize the lights and plugs, along with the dishwasher and microwave.

I haven't spent any more in the last 2 weeks, or at least any more than I thought I would.
