Day 3 - Beam, Door, Window

Starting to look better today. The electricians finished this morning (still not sure what that will cost), and the carpenters spent all day putting up some drywall and installing the beam. Towards the end of the day the window and door went in. I spoke to David about the beam, because it is a little low, and would be lower with the drywall. So he can shave off 2 inches from the bottom without ruining the integrity of the structure. That will occur tomorrow. I have the stove arriving, as well as the cabinets. He hopes to put in the rest of the drywall and be ready to start the cabinets in the afternoon.

The countertop people can't come until Monday, so we'll need to wait on that. Still possible to finish the job by June 20th. I still need to buy tile, paint, and probably some other stuff. I'll be gone all week next week, so I am a little nervous about being gone.

The fridge should be downstairs tomorrow, so I will put in a pic of the makeshift kitchen.
