There was a misunderstanding between David and the building inspector. We aren't trying to hide anything, but the electrical inspector wants to look behind the walls that were put up at the wires behind them. The inspector called me after coming over to yell at me about the walls being covered, and not being able to contact the electrician. I played dumb (because I know nothing about permits and inspections), and then David went and talked to him again. It should be all straightened out, although we will need to remove some drywall temporarily for him to do a "real inspection". I think the electrician will go with him tomorrow to town hall to talk to the inspector and calm him down.
Between this and the cabinet goof, I've had my share of setbacks today. Even so, I hope that by Wednesday the cabinets will be installed, and then the template can be made Thursday. That would mean we could have a counter by June 19th. I'd then need the electrician and Jon to come do their work on the weekend of the 21st, and then we could use the kitchen, pending the final inspections. I'm getting ahead of myself. I think I should target the completion to June 27th, which would be 4 weeks. That would probably be average.
